Carly Moffie (she/her)
200-RYT
Yoga has always felt intuitive to me. After trying many different types of movement throughout college and my adulthood from dance to boxing to HIIT, I always found my way back to this practice.
To me, yoga is about listening to your body and showing up as you are. My classes focus on presence and mindfulness; grounding in the moment and feeling what you feel without judgement. My classes are a way to love, nourish, and show gratitude to your body, while also having plenty of fun in the process. I like to keep my classes light and feel-good, but never shy away from a challenging pose (with plenty of modifications). I encourage everyone to come as they are, and hopefully, leave feeling a little lighter. -

Katelyn Nicolay (she/her)
200-RYT
Katelyn is forever grateful to a friend who took her to a hot yoga class in her early 20’s. She immediately fell in love, but between school, work, and life, she struggled to maintain a consistent practice. When Katelyn moved to Boston in 2014, she joined a local yoga studio and found an incredible community that allowed her to dive deep into her practice. Yoga is a constant source of joy in Katelyn’s life; it makes the good days great and the bad days better.
Katelyn completed her 200HR in 2024 at Back Bay Yoga Union under the guidance of Tim Kelleher, Emily Jonas, Caitlyn Visconte, Sandy Klemmer, and Erica Bornstein. She credits a number of influential teachers in the Boston area with helping her develop her practice and continues to learn from them every time she steps on her mat.
Katelyn loves a fiery flow that leaves you feeling refreshed with a sense of accomplishment. She uses her knowledge of anatomy to help students strengthen their proprioceptive abilities, allowing them to learn how the body moves and prevent injury. Off the mat, you can find Katelyn travelling, reading, baking cookies, or at Salem State University, where she is a professor of athletic training.

Nikki McMaster-Martorano (she/her)
500 E-RYT
Nikki McMaster-Martorano (she/her) is a Trauma Informed E-RYT, Reiki Master and educator. When she is not teaching yoga, she is a Yoga and Social Emotional Learning Specialist in an elementary school in Boston, who strives to make whole body wellness accessible to all.
Nikki became curious about yoga when her career in education began and was amazed by the impact the practice had on her and her elementary school students. Inspired by the kids to learn more about the practice, Nikki enrolled in YTT in the summer of 2018. Since then, she has been teaching yoga with an authentic, inclusive and anti-racist lens in and around Boston, always teaching what she’s practicing, with an emphasis on being a lifelong learner and practitioner on and off the yoga mat.
Her goal as a yoga teacher is to cultivate and offer an environment where students feel safe to develop a sense of agency over their practice, while honoring the roots and deep, ancient wisdom that this practice has to offer. Expect to move mindfully, explore yoga beyond asana (yoga poses) and develop a deeper connection between your mind, body and breath.

Amanda Scott (she/her)
200-RYT
Amanda completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Soma Yoga in May 2024 under teachers including Amy Leydon, Todd Skoglund, Joanna Benevides, Sandy Klemmer, and Jill Rodgers. She has been a student of yoga since graduating from college. She grew up playing sports including volleyball and basketball and has always loved being on a team and pushing herself. Yoga has allowed her to feel a part of a special yogi community in Boston and has challenged her to be more mindful in her everyday life. She works as a nurse practitioner at Massachusetts General Hospital and believes practicing and teaching yoga helps her be a better provider and calmer person at home. The practice of yoga means a lot to Amanda, and she loves practicing and learning from her teachers every week. Her classes focus on connecting to breath, intention, and showing up as you are. She values holding a safe space for her students. She loves a flowy, grounding sequence that is accessible for all students. When she is not practicing yoga, she loves cooking, exploring new spots in the city with her fiancé, being an aunt, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
